AUSTRALIAN POLITICS IS BROKEN

The 2025 federal election was a wake-up call. Australians overwhelmingly re-elected the Albanese Labor Government, after 3 years of some of the worst cost of living outcomes in generations. Why? Because the Liberal Party failed to deliver a message of conviction and certainty to the Australian electorate. They lost and we were speechless (and so were The Nationals). The Australian electorate felt it was better to have the devil you know, than the devil you don't. In other words, Labor didn't win the election - the Liberal Party lost it, and the Australian people are now the collateral damage. There was so much the Liberal Party could have capitalised on, but instead they focused on meaningless policies such as forcing Public Servants to stop working from home. How on earth is that an election policy? Then there was the last minute policy flip-flopping. Nuclear was a masterstroke, but the execution was poor. We need nuclear, period, and Reform AU will keep this policy active. Labor had so much going against it. Their policies are straight out of a Socialist playbook, like its tax on unrealised superannuation gains and not even indexing it. This is sheer madness! 3 years of blatant lying and cost of living failures were barely attacked by the opposition and Labor have got away with figurative murder. Labor tried once to silence people on social media. Now they have the numbers to try again. Let’s prevent the Labor Party from following UK Labour’s lead in arresting people because of social media posts. It’s hard to believe, but they average 30 arrests per day. Russia averages just 1. Housing affordability policies from both parties were nothing more than trying to out-bid each other, rather than fix the root-cause. It seems income from unsustainably high immigration is more important to both parties than dealing with the real problem. It’s not the migrant’s fault – it’s a government sponsored Ponzi scheme ready to pop. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! And so, we took immediate action and Reform AU was born. After witnessing similar outcomes in the United Kingdom, Reform UK acted and filled the void in an astonishingly short period of time. Reform UK is tirelessly marching towards what is now likely to be a rapid rise to power in the United Kingdom. Their model is fundamentally what Australia needs, with some small adjustments to account for Australian issues. From protecting free speech standing up for family values and not caving in to net zero targets, Reform AU stands steadfast by its values and will never flip-flop on matters we believe in.
